PROJECT SUMMARY
Simons Construction appointed Roskel at an early stage to work with their architects Bryden Wood and British Gypsum. This was to provide a suitable, cost effective solution to internal partition design, and advise on practical detailing aspects.
Our work was carried out across the whole hospital including hi-tech operating theatres, imaging department containing X-ray, MRI and ultrasound, consulting rooms, pharmacy and kitchen/café area.
The internal partitions were installed to a full British Gypsum specification.
The ceilings were manufactured by SAS International and Ecophon. We installed SAS System 320 in consulting rooms and administration areas. These ceilings were integrated with a chilled beam system.
Ecophon 600×600 Ecophon Hygiene Meditec A tiles were used in corridors and general areas, with a black Ecophon Focus Ds System installed to the impressive entrance lobby area.
The main reception area was the feature of the job, where we installed a timber slatted ceiling supplied by Stil Acoustics. The panels installed, were suspended from a bespoke Unistrut subframe with sound absorbing insulation installed above to provide the area with the desired acoustic performance.
