Roskel Contracts Limited was established in 1968 as a "Suspended Ceiling" subcontractor in Birmingham. Opening branches in London, Hertfordshire and Scotland during the 1970’s.
During the late 1970’s the Roskel group expanded into distribution with the formation of C P Supplies Ltd. The business underwent rapid expansion during the 1980’s becoming a national distributor.
The Roskel group "Roskel PLC" floated on the Unlisted Securities stock market in 1988 and then the main market in 1991. The group expanded into a £80 Million+ turnover during the 1990’s up to its acquisition by SIG PLC in August 1997. SIG’s priority being to acquire C P Supplies Ltd (Now CPD).
A management buy out of Roskel Contracts Limited from SIG was completed in November 1997 with the business once again becoming a private concern.
The directors of the company have been with the business for many years, Joint Managing Directors Tony Partridge & Mike McLaughlin joining in 1979 & 1992 respectively and Alan Brown in 1986. Many staff also have long service records complementing the stability and ethos of the business.
